Vedic astrology is part of his family; both his grandfather and uncle were practicing astrologers, and Raaj believes he's destined to become one, too. "I started learning about astrology charts and the different planets, and then I gained knowledge very quick," he says. "I believe it's within my DNA ."
Bullet points in Vedic Astrology (it's not like the astrology you've heard of)
- In contrast to western astrology Vedic -- or Hindu astrology began within India as a system that's said to have been in use since prior to 10,000 B.C.
- It's related to the other practices of ancient times, including yoga and Ayurveda, and is meant as a guide to more understanding the way one lives.
- According to Raag, Vedic astrology can help predict career, relationships as well as financial prosperity with specific planet positions within an individual's astrological chart.
After realizing that his calling was to teach people about the practice, he started an YouTube channel on the internet in 2009. where he posted videos on specific special topics that relate to astrology. In 2010, he changed his channel's title to the one it's called today, KRS Astrology. Now, there are over 454k users on his channel.
"It's little compared to people who have 15 million subscribers over 5 years time," he says humbly. "But my business is specific that there aren't too many people who know about it. ."
Raaj did not think it would be feasible to be this prosperous in such a field. However, his determination to share what he loves -- no matter what -- gave him the determination to create the business KRS Astrology is now an extremely lucrative online-based course business. For him, there was only one way that he wanted to make money, and his tenacious attitude was one of the factors that led to his success.
Today, Raaj lives a life full of creativity and has turned his passion into a career. The way he made it happen:
Creating his first course
In search of a method to provide more detailed and in-depth information, Raaj decided to create his very first KRS Astrology on the internet in the year 2018. There was a lot of people's requests for an online class, which made it the natural next step; With his followers curious about what Vedic theology can improve their lives, establishing the series of classes that dove in to each subject would allow him to give his students more value than YouTube would allow.
While searching for a course hosting platform, he came across .
"It appeared to be the most simple platform," he states. "All I had to do was upload my lessons and videos, organize them the way I needed, then make my own tests. Also, I didn't need to worry about a payment method because it was already integrated. ."
The first course he created was Vedic Astrology Simplified. It walks through the process step-by step; lesson one speaks about where Vedic astrology was born the second lesson focuses on every astrological planet, house or sign, while lesson three goes over the lunar mansions, lesson 4 discusses time-cycles, and so forth.
And, the other classes concentrate on particulars of the astrology. "It's kind of like learning math," he says. "Once you learn the basics, you then want to learn about the concepts of integers, derivatives and calculus. Each of my classes stems from the underlying theme of Vedic astrology, and each go into specific details about the system ."
Sharing his passion and finding an audience for his passion
According to Raaj, his entire audience was built on YouTube; many people find him through searching for Vedic Astrology information via Google or other search engines, then go to his YouTube videos that pop up via the Google search. "It started solely for an Indian viewers, until I realized that people in places like Europe and South America also wanted to study it," he explains.
However, Raaj's aim wasn't to locate a certain group of people to talk to, he simply desired to share his enthusiasm with the world.
"I decided that I didn't care who's watching me, I'm just going to share the most I could. I was not wanting to do anything except Vedic astrology. The reason I didn't do it was to please anyone else, and I didn't care whether people liked my content or not. I was simply making these videos in order to spread my love for Vedic astrology ."
Indeed, this fervent attitude is what's led to his wildly successful career. He believes that you just need that first pupil to buy your course and everything else is going to follow after that.

"Once you're being yourself and sharing what you're passionate about, people will admire your authenticity and seek to be inspired by you. If you create something that you're passionate about, others are likely to be intrigued. ."
Finding his niche
The following of Raaj's started to grow -- exponentially -- it became apparent that he was fulfilling the desire for specific particular videos on Vedic astrology. He suggests creators of online courses research what their audience needs to meet their audience's needs, then "fill those holes that they spot on the streets ."
He says, for instance, there's a time when nobody's talking about something specific, but you'd prefer someone else was. "If you wish there was specific information available on TikTok, YouTube, or Facebook Be the one to plug that hole," he says. "You will be able to guarantee that there are others who are looking for similar information."
Making marketing easy
Contrary to popular belief, Raaj doesn't believe that everyone needs to spend money on marketing. In fact, he says that he's never been paid for marketing. While he posts up on Instagram and Facebook, YouTube is his main focus -- and many of the people who purchase his courses are on YouTube. Users simply click the weblink in his video description, select courses, then they are led to a simple checkout form that's linked to Stripe and PayPal. "The process is like a well-oiled machine," He says.
When students are done with an entire course, they get on his mailing list. When there is a new course is released, he emails to students who could decide to purchase the course. The way he markets is simple and puts all his energy on producing valuable content that sells itself.
Offering payment options
The main course of his is priced for $359. Other, smaller courses, are priced between $100 and $149. "The majority of my customers is in India, and are middle-class families. I didn't want to charge huge amounts of money that many people couldn't pay it," He says.
To lessen the financial cost of buying a course, Raaj allows students to buy the course in one lump sum or in installments. In the case of example, if you choose to make payments in two installments in the beginning, the first portion of the amount will be taking the month they sign up for the course, while the second installment one will take place the next month. People can divide their payments in as much as ten portions. "Then it's not necessary to worry about paying a big chunk of money in one go," he says.
"What I've discovered is that if you're wanting somebody to pay all in one sitting, they're likely to be a bit disinclined. However, if you allow people to pay for a few payments over a couple of months, they feel better. It's great to give people the possibility to ."
Additionally, he offers subscription classes, where students are charged monthly to join a certain subject or course. "If you don't plan to make new videos every week, then no, you shouldn't charge a subscription fee," he says. "But when your students receive a live stream from you for a couple of days every week, then yes, you should be charging a monthly fee because you're giving them your energy and duration ."
Also, he sells his work online, and he loves being able to have all his books on one page.
Teaching in the same way that you would want to study
When it comes to making a curriculum for online courses, Raaj advises teaching in the same way you'd like to study. This helps the delivery be as authentic as is possible.
For Raaj his courses, the method is straightforward He takes 2 weeks before going into creating content mode in KRS Astrology, where he works nine hours a day to perfect each lesson. While he's in the creation procedure, he's not telling anyone else about the course that the course is creating. According to him, this allows him relieve some stress from himself. Once he's uploaded his entire course as PDFs, test sheets and certifications, he announces his course. "I upload everything first, so that they have the ability to study at their own pace; if they want to finish the course within a single day, they can. If they want to finish the course in two months, they can," he explains.

The very first video that he creates in every course is an introduction video. The video explains the material step-by-step, or lesson-by-lesson, while the more difficult content coming in after. "This will ensure that the students get a firm basis in the material, and don't get turned off by thinking it's too complicated," he advises. "Start out easy and simple so that they are eager to know more and breakdown your material into the clearest and succinct way you can. ."
Start with less basic information also improves the chances of course completion rates, according to Raaj. Additionally, he offers the certificate of completion after each course, which motivates students. "This gives them a sense of accomplishment," he says. "It creates a positive psychological impression and makes you feel good. ."
His biggest hurdle in his online-based course is the time needed for creating. "Although it's time-consuming, it's something you'll do once and then you'll have crowds coming in," he says.
The power of being yourself
Passion has always been an important factor in KRS Astrology's rise however, discovering his own niche has been one of the biggest contributors to his courses' business. In the same way, he explained earlier that it was a "pothole in the streets" which needed filling -it was only filled with his own unique approach and knowledge to Vedic astrology.
"There is a niche for everything and everyone, and there's enough people in the world to join you and join your journey."
His best -- and most straightforward advice is to just be you and tell the world what you are passionate about. "You're not going to be successful if you're just doing something to earn an extra income," he says. "You must be so in love with what you're doing that you're willing to follow through no matter the ."
