In this post, I'll walk you through what the Member Content Team effectively uses Strive to control our blog post workflow. As we have several contributors to the six blogs we have creating an efficient and controlled workflow is essential.

It's a good thing that Strive offers two amazing options to make life easier and help ensure a seamless process. Learn how to leverage these tools:

New Drafts

Located on the right part of the Content Calendar page, the " Add New Draft" can be the launchpad for the next blog you want to write.

If you click, it will open the pop-up where it is easy to input important information required to write the creation of a blog post.

We make use of the Title field to indicate the assigned writer by including their name before the title of the article.

  1. Not Started (Red): When I create a New Draft the system automatically takes the status of Not Started in a bold red hue. It signals to the writer that it is time to write.
  2. Writing (Orange): Once the writer begins creating the draft they switch the status to Writing. This is and are accompanied by a striking orange shade. The color change signals that the article is currently in process.
  3. Editing (Yellow): When the draft is complete and is ready to be reviewed, the writer changes the post's status to Editing. It is shown with a vivid yellow color. This informs me that the article requires my attention for further reviews and changes.
  4. Complete (Green): After I finish the edits and consider the post ready for publication The status is changed to Complete. The post box promptly transforms to a soothing green hue.

Green plays a vital role for us as Strive has an alternative setting which automatically posts any Complete (green) article in accordance with the date and time in the WordPress Editor. This can significantly cut down time. But, it requires constant monitoring of times and dates when it is time to "go green."

After a publication is successful and is published, the page turns black. This means that the entire process is complete.

Utilizing this system of color coded content, we maintain an organized workflow that ensures clear communication and seamless progression throughout the content creation process. We'll explore additional features and benefits that Strive brings to the table.
