Simple collages by The CreativeMindClass Blog

The other day, I caught Olga posting stories on Instagram of my childhood neighborhood. Within Warsaw's concrete jungle, there is a lesser-known, sacred green area. I would visit it in the summer to stare at gorgeous old pines and catch a breath of nature in my urban lungs. In her story, Olga visited this area for the first time but she was also fascinated by the most ancient gardens in Warsaw. In the near future, I am sure she'll create an inspired Boernerowo painting.

We inquired with Olga about her process for creating her minimalist collages and artworks of human-like landscapes.

"My Name is Olga Szczechowska, and I'm living in Warsaw. Since the age of a youngster, I've been drawing and painting a lot. I was a student at an art high school and was a student of painting as well as Cultural Studies at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Torun.

I'm a painter, an illustrator, and sometimes graphic designer. My work is a examine the interplay between humans and nature, carefully observing the way we create the natural world around us. When I look at hedges that have been trimmed, decorative plants, and well-designed home gardens, I am capturing the eerie environment that surrounds us."

"For some time, I've also been creating minimalist collages. The compositions are drawn from landscapes, still lifeor created as a result of experiments with shapes, textures as well as colours.

My work is diverse because painting and collages are very different, but they have one thing in common: they are soothing. I've heard the term "soothing" often from my fans I believe it is an accurate description of the essence of my work. If I am tired of painting, I make collages, and vice versa. A certain style can be a brief escape from the different.

I believe that being aware is essential. I pay attention to everything that surrounds me, architectural structures, nature, as well as objects. The result is my work. Through my work, you do not see a human being, but we are able to feel the human presence in trimmed hedges or even in the mug that is that is left on the table."
