Three Black customers to learn more about their personal journeys, the mentors who have been instrumental in getting them to where they are today and their dreams and hopes for shaping the future of this generation.
Karl Ferguson Jr.
Karl believes in the notion that work should fund your passion, until it becomes a aspect of your day-to-day routine. Karl is able to accomplish just that: by balancing his work with his love of portrait photography. If you look at the site will be awestruck by the number of individuals Karl has photographed within the realm of entertainment. Karl's presence on the internet has enabled him to present his work in front of a multitude of people with ease. "One of my greatest strengths is how easily I can transfer images by dragging and dropping them and rearrange them at any moment's need," Karl says.
The involvement of the community has been a major factor in the photographic successes of Karl. Sharing ideas with fellow Black photographers gives him a an atmosphere of camaraderie in an industry that could be sometimes lonely. Karl is hoping to give back by advancing his career in hopes that the same sort of community can be created for the emerging artists in the industry. "Paying the forward means making myself accessible," Karl says. By sharing his experience as well as his knowledge, Karl hopes to help others become more innovative that they could be.
If you were to ask him for advice Karl could give a younger version of him or someone only beginning their journey in photography Karl's recommendation is "Don't become so enthralled that you lose interest in taking pictures. Being patient and enjoying your process is one of the main things you can do when you are photographer."

"Black In Corporate
Ambassador and social media specialist Candace Marie is the founder of Black In Corporate The Black In Corporate group which promotes Black people working in the workplace. The idea of Black In Corporate came through the personal experiences she had of having to work in environments where systemic racism makes it hard for Black workers to achieve success. "While Black In Corporate was the result of my own personal experience," Candace says, "a key reason for the creation of the organization was that I was aware that there were several Black people in my network having experiences that were comparable at times, and in other cases the same as my own personal experience."
One of the many pillars Black In Corporate has been founded on includes its online mentorship programme which gives Black professionals access to opportunities, resources and collaboration. The site that is part of Black In Corporate has been crucial in spreading the benefits of the program to the public it is aimed at. "While media and social media are major factors in traffic, the beautiful style and user-friendly navigation site ensures our customers remain interested and return," Candace says about the effect of their website.
The phrase "it requires the entire village" is especially relevant to Candace who has been through the creation of Black In Corporate. The business's growth is possible due to the assistance of mentors, sponsors as well as family and friends who have supported her throughout the journey. In so many ways, Candace is able to provide this level of support for Black professionals. "This procedure isn't easy without the help of a companion," she says. "Whenever I'm given the opportunity to give advice, join an advisory panel or introduce a contact to a coworker I'm taking a strategic approach in assisting all Black individuals in the community."

Elton Anderson Jr.
Through 14 years Elton Anderson Jr. worked in the photography field that included photographing famous photographers, as well as most renowned companies. He made the decision to alter his path following finding that the career he'd had a passion for wasn't so fulfilling as he had hoped. Following a severe case of malaria which occurred when traveling to Brazil, Elton vowed to dedicate his life to improving himself and the people who were around him.
At present, Elton is doing just that with the work every day. Apart from seeking new opportunities including creative director producer and host of a television travel show, Elton is also the creator of the Creators of Color that is a platform for telling the stories about Black creators across a wide range of industries.
For Elton taking these adjustments is essential in the process of creating. The advice Elton gives to young Black creatives seeking to switch professions is to follow their instincts. "If there's no reason to affirm a Yes then it's not a Yes," Elton says. "This mantra has helped me change my work in a way that is more productive and authentic to me."
When you're an artist such as Elton with many tasks to tackle Digital marketing is an essential role in telling the story of his life. Elton's aim is to become an "Master Storyteller." The websites he has as well as his social media profiles permit Elton to do just this. "I create my website as an opportunity for people to be able to enter, take a seat and meet my personality," Elton says. "My social media channels allow you to follow the route I'm on whenever you want to."
