Karl's online presence has allowed him showcase his work to a plethora of clients easily. "One one of the best options is the fast manner in which I'm able to drop and move pictures and rearrange them at a moment's need," Karl says.

Social networking has played a significant part in the success in the photography of Karl. The sharing of thoughts among fellow Black photographers helps him experience the camaraderie that is a part of photography, an area that is often lonely in the current climate. Karl wants to pass it forward in his own professional life, and create an identical community for the new photographers working in the field. "Paying it forward involves that I am accessible," Karl says. Through sharing his experiences as well as his knowledge, Karl hopes to help other creatives achieve their potential to be the best they can be.

When asked on what he might say about the young version his self, a person who has just begun his photographic journey, his advice is as follows: "Don't get so intense that you stop making. Enjoying yourself and relaxing while taking part in the process could be one of the best actions you can do as a photographer."
