A domain for a website is the URL that you enter into your web browser to open a particular web page. A website URL has a couple of components:
Schema or protocol
Subdomain
Domain name or second-level domain
Top-level domain (TLD)
Subdirectory or page route
Most people will mainly have to look at the domain name, the pages, and TLD. Your domain name is your distinctive identifier of your site ("" within .com), whereas the TLD is the domain extension (like .com, .net, or .org) while the page path represents a page on your website (like "/blog" in .com/blog).
