"My dad bought me a digital point-and-shoot camera," Jeremy shared with . "My sister began taking photographs with it. I thought they looked amazing, so I decided to give it a go. I took a bunch of pictures of nature which led me to enroll in an film photography course in my high school for an elective once I came back to my home town."

And people noticed: Jeremy has built an audience of over a million followers on social media--and is even able to scale a successful freelance photography career.

Pivoting to freelance with the help of a website

This strategy worked: "I started to get hired for some small gigs as I worked my way up until I could eventually work full-time as a photographer freelance."

"I have multiple uses for my website on ," Jeremy says. "It's my main portfolio for viewers to view the very most impressive of my work, no matter if it's personal projects, client workor other miscellaneous photos."

The creation of a website is also a way in establishing the credibility of freelancers. "In my opinion," Jeremy says, "a solid website is imperative to a photographer for customers to believe in them."
