Getting started within the health and wellness sector
In the beginning she was in a place where she had no friends. When she graduated from university and her transition into a full-time job, Valeria was lonely. Her physical health was not great as well. Valeria was following an all-vegan diet for number of years, and was struggling to come up with delicious and satisfying meals.
"I just kind of winged the idea of going vegan. I resorted to having french fries along with salad in the dining hall during college. That was not always allowing me to get the full nutritional value. So, it was not surprising that I wasn't feeling well."
In search of a solution to tackle both concerns all at the same time, Valeria found connections within the vegan community. The health professional she got was a specialist in plant-based eating and could identify what foods she required to take in order to be fit and healthy, to meet the nutritional needs of her body and get healthier in all aspects of her life .

It initially was a bit anxious to share her idea for a business with "real-life" family members and people she knew. However, these friends proved to be one of her biggest admirers.

The business grew. "I first started one-on one coaching and really liked it" the coach tells us.
"I've pivoted a couple of different ways in my business. However, my desire is to assist others in eating the more plant-based diet. My goal is not to force people to switch to a vegan diet. Most of my clients are not vegan, but I am focused in helping them to eat more plant-based food as well as listening to their body."
The choice to narrow down
After she'd had her first clients on her list, Valeria had a better idea of how she wanted her company's future to look like. What she needed to decide was who would be her ideal customer. After building the VegiVale , Valeria learned that having your own business is a way to create an individual business.
"Put your blinders up since it's tempting to see what everyone other people are doing. If you notice 100 people performing the same activity, then you're likely to be tempted to follow suit," she remarks. "It's normal to criticize the actions of others. .... The great thing about becoming an artist is the fact that you're an individual. There is no one else who can achieve what you do in the same way that you do."
"The amazing aspect of being a creative is that you are one in a class of your own. No one can do exactly what you're doing, the way that you execute it."
"Even though there are thousands of health professionals on the market, I'm certain every time I talk, it will land differently as opposed to when someone else is saying exactly the same thing. Our messages resonate with different people. If you are trying to be a part of the norm, you're missing that distinct voice."
The reason for this, Valeria explains, is your special sauce for being a creator.

Valeria suggests entrepreneurs embrace what feels good regardless of the choices within your industry. "Everyone's linked to TikTok right now," she points out, "There are so many health experts there. I felt like I was not being noticed. Then I joined the social media platform, but it was not my style."

For Valeria, this format felt more authentic and enjoyable.
"I am unable to say everything I want to say in fifteen to 60 seconds, but newsletters have endured through the years. I want something more timeless if I'm going spend time and energy on it. If I did what everyone else is doing and joined TikTok without realizing that it's difficult for me and I'm not really enjoying the process, then I'm out of my league."
This doesn't mean you should dismiss everychallenge at work. However, if something is causing you slack consider other options.
Find a balance between work and family.
However, many entrepreneurs are caught in the trap of being too busy.
Sometimes, a toxic hustle culture can be the culprit.
While she worked as working as a network marketing professional, Valeria always felt pressured to be a gruelling worker and acquire the most customers. Her job was to stay up late in the evenings following her normal job, and then miss all of the time she had with relatives and friends.
The constant hustle didn't produce positive results. Valeria's mental health deteriorated due to her absence from family and friends.
Sometimes, the creators are too busy because they're driven.
"Creators are at greater risk because we love what we do. It is easy to lose the distinction between passion and overworking along with life and the creation of content. When you're passionate in what you do, and have a clear vision for your work, you will be difficult to turn off."
Valeria's suggestion: Take charge of your work-life balance and manage your business to make sure you have the work-life balance you've earned.
"I have watched many creators and entrepreneurs quit their 9-5 jobs and then recreate the same system in their business," Valeria says. "Why would you do that? What is the reason you would only have two days off in a week on Saturday and Sunday? Isn't that defeating the purpose?"
You're the boss, therefore you can:
Take advantage of your time off when necessary.
Reduce your hours and not feel guilty.
Choose to work with the period to manage fewer clients and get your own time.
Set achievable goals for yourself within a time-bound, achievable program.
Don't follow the traditional just because it's popular.
"Don't overlook the important things," Valeria reminds fellow creators. "You can live a full life without the Internet."
Make sure you are confident in making important decisions
When she first started the journey Valeria was struggling to make important choices. She now realizes that listening to her intuition and making a choice is vital to progress.
"The method you work in your day-to-day work is quite different than how you work as an entrepreneur," she shares.
"In an ordinary job, there are deadlines, tasks and the steps. There is someone that can guide you. For entrepreneurship, it's entirely yours. Only you can make decisions is you. making choices, and you have to trust your decision-making."
It's a huge amount of stress for anyone who's a new creator. When she's stuck and struggling, Valeria reminds herself that "not making a decision is inherently deliberation." This can help her to make her mind and execute an action plan.
It is essential to prioritise the health of your mind and body.
At the end of the day, Valeria insists on how crucial that you take care of yourself. While traveling, Valeria noticed that when she felt unwell emotionally or physically and her business took a downturn. If she was in good health, her business flourished.
To ensure that health stays at the forefront, Valeria follows the same advice she gives her clients who she mentors. "How do I teach my clients to rest at least eight hours each night as well as drink plenty of fluids and take their greens in when I'm not doing that?" she asks.
"I often consider what I would do if I were my client What advice would I give me to do in such a situation?"
