Five Reasons to Join Our New Slack Community: Global SaaS Leadership --

Mar 23, 2022

The shorter version of the article is this:

  • Just recently, we launched a new (free!) Slack community: Global SaaS Leaders.
  • The program is open to leaders of well-established SaaS and software businesses (including founders! ).

We're starting a new Slack group for free. Slack group.

Because communities are awesome!

No, seriously.

There are numerous additional SaaS and software community out on the market. Many of them are fantastic.

But, as we thought about creating the kind of community we wouldlike to join there was the opportunity to make something completely new.

We created Global SaaS Leaders as a space with five unique characteristics:

1. Global Focus

We found many SaaS or software-based groups which were U.S.-based or were located in a specific area.

Global SaaS Leaders will be distinct. They may be located somewhere in the U.S., but our customers and the wider SaaS community span across the globe..

In the process of building the community we'll concentrate on building a broad membership and a global perspective.

2. The concept is designed to appeal to leaders of established SaaS-based and software firms.

The most interesting chats on software we saw on the internet revolved in the context of beginning the very first SaaS business:

These discussions are helpful to anyone looking to create an SaaS.

In the end, we found it hard to come across helpful dialogue between senior executives from long-standing companies, including software or SaaS firms.

This is why we've chosen to build an online community composed of SaaS executives who think about expanding and expanding the capabilities of an existing established software firm and not focusing on building the low-risk products or seeking the seed funding.

If you're a life-style entrepreneur that has an unfunded SaaS that is already generating $10,000 per month, we'd love to help you connect to other entrepreneurs just like you.

As if you were the chief developer of a start-up venture that recently crossed $10 million a year.

This is the goal we'll pursue during Global SaaS Leaders: to create a space in which it is possible to discuss the unique issues you will face once the product has been launched and you get started to scale.

3. Professionally moderated

It is the work of an experienced and determined moderator (or group of moderators!) to build a positive, welcoming culture within a community.

We've gained a lot of expertise from the Reddit community r/entrepreneur, for an illustration.

However, even communities that have high-end amenities such as this one sometimes struggle in focusing. It's telling that the top. 1 thread this year was an angry comment on how the rise of cryptocurrency has dominated the conversation:

Katie Stephan and Nathan Collier (authors of this piece!) will be the first moderators as we launch this Global SaaS Leaders community.

We have spent more than 10 years managing online communities that have hundreds of thousands of members.

Furthermore, the creation and establishment of this community is an essential part of our jobs..

We'll keep the conversation confined on SaaS as well as software, and we'll ensure that you don't need to contend unwanted offers, spam personal attacks, trolling in any form.

4. It's not focused on venture capital or financing rounds.

It doesn't matter if you're in a bootstrapmodel, venture-funded or privately owned, or some other ownership model.

The world's SaaS Leaders won't be a place that is focused on financing rounds or exit strategies.

We hope instead to establish a forum where you can engage in discussions about hiring, revenue profits instruments, pricing models as well as technical infrastructure as well as anything else related to the development of business software.

It's fine for the members to have periodic discussions about funding. It shouldn't be the the only discussion.

5. The largest and most friendly SaaS Software community anywhere on the web.

Some online communities could be dangerous places.

Whoever you are, wherever you're from, and whatever your experience, we'd like you to feel at ease posting and participating in our forum.

Katie me as well as Katie We will do all that we can to create and promote a welcoming and positive society in the new community. Also, we'll not stand for personal attack, bigotry, racism and sexism or any other unacceptable behavior.

Our goal is nothing less than this: to create the most supportive SaaS and software-driven community on the internet.

How do I join The Global SaaS Leaders Community

If you're an executive from an established SaaS company, we'd like to have you in our community!

This is not a simple request form, but we employ it to check the authenticity of our community -- and also to remove spammers that might have been identified.

And there's an FAQ on the application's page which may provide the answers to your queries.

We'd like to invite you to join us!
