Fantasy illustration A blog by the CreativeMindClass Blog
How would you describe your personal style?
It's somewhere in between stylized and realistic illustration. I use a lot of muted and aquatic color palettes and generally work with organicand flowing forms. My "style" as an illustration artist is heavily dictated by the colors I use and the subject matter that I decide to paint but not always what it's painted. I was previously working with a more linear style , but recently I've moved to a looser and more painterly style.

What is the key in creating your artworks of fantasy?
Then I'll go over them again until it looks closest to the way I envision the image in my mind (within reasons, else I'd be able to spend months working on one painting). It's my goal to make my designs more complex and not settle for a mediocre image. I'd prefer to take a long amount of time trying to get my fantasy illustration right than rush through the process.

Where can people see your fantasies?
I'll be participating in the coming "Oceans and Currents" exhibition at Gallery Nucleus in July! In the meantime I'm on Instagram. I do sell prints in my online store Bandcamp for those who are interested!
Additionally, I'm on YouTube as well as Bandcamp for people who want to know more about my music and I'll be releasing new songs shortly.

The Background of Brigitte
I graduated at my school, the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and I currently work in the industry of entertainment arts as conceptual artist and illustrator. I also have an ongoing innovative project named Pearl Farm, for which I create illustrations. I write, as well as sing my own songs.
The article illustrations are drawn from my own work, Pearl Farm. The story is my own, it follows a traveling troubadour known as Vinny along with her pet ray Hubble when they journey their way through a vast globe known as the Lofty Coastline.
