Everything You Should know about SEO to be a master -

Mar 16, 2022

The focus of our time is Search Engine Optimization.

By the bye, you'll hear keywords like SEO, SEM, organic search, and paid search frequently. These are terms that are used by marketers to impress marketers. It is either paid to have your business on the first page of Search results for Google, Bing, and Yahoo either way, or you do not.

Translation:

SEO = organic, unpaid

SEM is a term that's not embraced by the masses, paid

If you're an expert in SEO then there's no need to pay Google's price of admission. You could make it to the front of the stage with your appearance and worth.

First things first: you need to dress in a bikini to Google. Google is still ruling the SEO dominance and is averaging over 3.5 billion searches each day. If you're an automatic learner, feel free to take a look at Google's SEO Starter guide.

1. Utilize attractive and clear page titles and meta descriptions.

  • A clear title for the page is crucial. Use informative and relevant words that visitors would be able to use to search for the item. Use entire words. Google bolds the search terms that appear within the web address. Try to anticipate the things people are actually searching for. Make sure that the URL is under 60 characters. If you have your company name in the page title, this should be at the end. A reliable Content Management System (CMS) will allow you to decide on the title for the page on the browser tab and the page title that is displayed on the web page.

Even though your business is (probably) doing nothing to sell baseball card, the nuts and bolts should look overwhelming.

  • Write an attractive meta description. The meta tag is not utilized by Google in order to rank. They've confirmed it. The description meta tag is used for the excerpt of text shown below your web page's link in the results pages of search engines. Keep it related to the item. There are only 160 characters to play with therefore keep it brief and short.

2. Ensure every image that you post on your website has alt-text.

Text in images called 'alt' is used by screen readers to assist visually impaired users Alt text allows Google to index your images to allow them to be searched. Watch Google master Matt Cutts breakdown everything down in this video.

3. Make sure your URLs are clean.

Product page URLs should be brief and concise and include full wording. Your CMS should provide you with the ability to choose what your URLs will be and the best systems (we'll come back to this in a subsequent post) are able to create SEO-friendly URLs for you.

Keep URLs in mind:

  • Short for sharing with ease
  • Descriptive, so they make an impact in the search results. Be aware that Google will highlight words that appear within URLs.

4. Use a blog to answer customer questions.

Your blog's content is organic that is low-hanging fruit. The keywords you get from your clients and the detailed responses you provide will be able to climb up Google's SEO chain.

5. Write your own original, detailed product descriptions, but do not "keyword stuff." We're aware the moment you've done that and we're not happy about it. Tailor the messaging and wording according to your particular demographics or buyer's personas.
