Eva Munnich works as an artist and 3D artist. The CreativeMindClass Blog
Eva Munnich works as an animator as well as an illustrator who hails from London. Being a visual artist she creates cute and animated characters in 2D/3D. The film academy she went to was an art school in Germany as well as being involved in a myriad of animation initiatives. When she realized that it was impossible to give herself a chance to test her own self-confidence, Eva actively sought new ways to stretch her wings. A few years ago, she came to London to explore its vibrant art scene. She decided to explore drawing as well as character designs.
Below , you'll discover the way Eva altered her art style as well as the details of her original X-Files animation that she created in collaboration with Phil Brookes.
Are you looking for fresh challenges, and an innovative career plan
Prior to moving to London in the year 2017, I worked living in a tiny town in Germany doing work on the subject of After Effects animator. There weren't many opportunities to express my creativity. My abilities slowed fast and I began to feel unhappy.
Moving into London and getting to know the fantastic animation group at the animation studio gave me an enormous boost. I thought "Damn, I'm running with all the cool kids right now , better be ready to go. "

After attending the Pictoplasma Conference, I made my decision to be part of the world of bizarre character creators. It became clear that my characters function optimally when they're 3D which is something I'm still learningabout, which can be challenging, but also extremely satisfying!
My work got noticed by Greenhouse Animation, and I am now in the position as Director of Greenhouse Animation.

Concerning the X-Files project as well as the secret of socks that vanish
One of my very initial projects for clients I worked on with my style change is one of my clips which is the Covered by Lemonade clip.
You can play with audio. But, the browser you are using doesn't allow the video tag.
Lemonade Insurance approached me to make a piece for the regular Instagram collaborative art project. Because the company is an insurance provider for content and the notion of cute household objects that are in danger immediately occurred to me. It was then that the X-Files idea came to life.
The last winter when I had to lock down and watching the entire films, and the idea of an alien abduction classic was a natural choice. The actors have to be in the same place in the final scene, and it could be possible that the loop can be closed down to ensure none is actually abducted. That's why I came up with the idea of opening the washer with the single pink sock flies toward the UFO.
As I made the UFO and then gave it a few feet, I realized everything could be sucked into. The UFO has no sock but is gaining it!
I find that creating an engaging story can be done by mixing up different things which appear unrelated initially. Making an event surprises and makes the inanimate objects appear more human by sticking funny faces onto their surface, is the best way to entertain me!

The workflow for animation
My work process starts with sketches of characters and is followed by sketching out the plot. I developed an animation version of Lemonade to convey the concept along with the timing. Then, I jump into Cinema 4D and model all my characters. Also, I experiment with the various materials I work with and design fashion frames.
Once the animation with Cinema 4D is done, I import it into After Effects for final touches and composition. The pink light beams, for an example, can be constructed by using After Effects.

Concerning sound effects, and working with Phill Brookes with Phill Brookes on sound effects, and also cooperating with Phill Brookes
This was the first time working with the services of a sound engineer called Philip Brookes. He really took it to the highest level! His efforts lift the entire footage to an impressive quality and makes everything run smoothly! It was a fantastic undertaking to create and I'm eager to continue doing another one like this!
We've spoken to Phil about the technique that he employs to create sound effects that will be employed in The X-Files project. Read the full discussion with the Phil Brookes.
In the present, I'm exploring new methods to rig characters and creating incredible textures with Cinema 4D and Redshift. I'm trying to mix 2D animation with 3D and am excited to see where my research into designing characters can take me later on!

Ideas for artists who are visual for shifting your career
A few suggestions I'd like share with anyone who is looking to change direction:
- Find out which one you enjoy the most. Then, find out more information about the process! Motion design can feel as if you're expected to master everything there is. This isn't possible.
- Take your weirdness seriously and never forget that you're uniquely you. Your own uniqueness is yours. Your style, voice and the way you express yourself are distinct.
- Let your thoughts be yours. Whatever you are thinking about within your mind, create it as your own!
We're in awe of the artist's imaginative artwork, the direction she's on, and the transformation she's undergone. We at CreativeMindClass we are confident that artists are able to make paths similar to Play-Doh and create beautiful. We're thrilled to see innovative designs and bold people get their ideas off the ground. Thanks for telling your tale, Eva!
