Collage collages that are art CreativeMindClass Blog: CreativeMindClass Blog
Recently I had the opportunity to watch Olga posting her posts on Instagram about my home town that I grew up in. The urban forest of Warsaw is a neglected, revered green space. I'd like to explore it during the summer months, to take a glimpse of the stunning pines, and breathe fresh air to my urban lung. In the story of her, Olga visited this area in her first time but she was impressed by the oldest gardens located in Warsaw. It's likely that within the next few years she'll paint a Boernerowo-inspired work.

We are interested to hear from Olga what elements she draws upon as the foundation for creating minimalist collages. Also, she focuses on making scenes that feature human-like forms.
"My name"is Olga Szczechowska, and I'm from Warsaw. Since the age of a youngster I've been painting and drawing many times. I went to classes in art during the high school years. I was a student in the Department of Painting and the Cultural Studies within the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Torun.

I'm an illustrator, artist also a graphic designer. My work is a examine human interactions with the natural world, paying close focus on how we construct the natural environment that we live in. As I gaze at hedges that are cut, ornamental plants and beautifully designed home gardens, I'm trying to capture the beauty and wonder of the natural world around us."

"For long I've also made minimalist collages. These collages take the form of landscapes, still-life, or in response to my investigations in patterns, textures and color.

My style is diverse since collage and paintings are quite different. But there's something they have they have in common: both exhibit the capacity of calming. I've seen "soothing" in my work by my fans many times and think it's the most appropriate term to describe my work. When I get bored in creating art, I design collages. Also, reverse. One particular style may provide an the chance to briefly get away from that particular one.

Being aware is essential. I pay attention to everything that I see, and that includes the architecture, environment as well as the objects. This is apparent in my art. The works I create aren't based on the human body. However, it's possible to feel humans on the hedges that I trim as well as the mug I have that is on the counter of my kitchen."
