What word have you have picked? What do you think is the definition of the people we work with and explain to us what it signifies for you?

I decided to use my own word"yuan" (Yuan ) that is a rather ethereal term to describe how it could be utilized in conversations. Instead of saying somebody was "in your life due to something," in Mandarin you could declare "you are both"yuan." Its meaning can be broad in the sense that it is a natural bonding between friends and lovers who have a meeting to the circumstances that led two strangers to be seated next to one another on an L train -- all those relationships could be classified as"yuan..

I picked this word since it speaks to me about the limitations of our existence in relation to the events in random ways which make us a part of the lives of people around us. It's wonderful that a word will remind us existence of the universe mostly due to luck.

"It's great that there's an expression that reminds us that our current location most of the time is a matter of luck."

We'd like to find out more about the artwork that you've designed. Why did you decide to express your message in through this method?

The most basic Chinese words are filled with the depth of the word, since not only are they composed of compound words (a accidental example is the phrase used"circus" is actually an abbreviation of "circus" which is a break into "horse-show-group") Yet, each character is composed of meaningful symbols, which communicate with each other. It was therefore logical to imagine these characters as sprites with brush strokes keen to connect with one another, and to discover the yuan that brought them together into the word. It's very Meta.

What influence have your origins been on the way you dress and your creative thinking?

Although I was raised trilingual, that's not the case for my capability to write or read Chinese. But I do know that my Taiwanese parents taught me calligraphy in the early years of my life. The significance of these letters will always influence my interest in icons andoverall, having a background in calligraphy has allowed me remain committed to the idea that deeper meaning can be inherent in every object.

What ways do we as a species be able to recognize the contribution to art of API makers and artists during this month?

I'm thinking that a lot of API artists working in the States do not have the benefit of making use of their history to advance their art. 'assimilation of the past was a vital element of the lives of most of the first generation students in their journey to the highest levels.

Someone who comes across me could think I'm able to compose yuan in Chinese or even speak the term quickly, but this isn't an accurate notion. I was required to check the definitions of the term on Wikipedia, as well as my mother -- and I'm happy I had an opportunity to check the definitions.

API is a process that gives API creators with the chance to participate in the public at large to show their unique culture, by any means they are able to get back in touch with the roots they may have lost and also paving their way for them to become an important contributing member of the creativity community of the future.
